What a Tokyo dinner cruise costs in October 2026: yakatabune with sukiyaki from US$75, all-you-can-drink courses from US$102 and US$119, and what the fare leaves out.

Updated October 2026

A Tokyo dinner cruise costs from US$75 a person for a 90-minute yakatabune with sukiyaki and soft drinks, to US$102 and US$119 for the longer cruises where alcohol is all-you-can-drink, as listed on GetYourGuide in October 2026.

A small boat at sunset with no meal costs US$51. Every fare is per person and includes the meal named on the listing, and since tipping is not customary in Japan, the fare is what you pay.

Why the price gap is mostly the drinks

The cheapest dinner, the 90-minute sukiyaki boats from Etchujima, includes unlimited soft drinks but not alcohol. Amitatsu and H.I.S. cost more because beer, sake, shochu, wine and whisky are all-you-can-drink, the meals are longer courses rather than one hot pot, and the cruises last two and a half to three hours. If you drink, the gap closes fast: two or three drinks bought on board a short cruise would cover much of the difference. If you do not, the 90-minute boat is the better value.

What is not in the fare

The extras are few. On Orange Tour’s boats, the Tokyo Tower deck ticket is an option you choose when booking, and the trip from the pier to the tower is up to you. Hotel pickup is not included on any of the yakatabune here, except as a paid option on the H.I.S. cruise. Amitatsu charges 1,000 yen a guest for dietary requests or meal changes, which must be sent at least two days before. There is no service charge to add and no tip to leave.

Cancellation is part of the price

Free cancellation is not the same on every boat. Orange Tour and Tokyo Water Taxi refund up to 24 hours before; Amitatsu up to 10 days, and H.I.S. up to 11 days. If your evening in Tokyo might move, the flexible 90-minute boats carry less risk.
